Establishing a New Company in a Mature Industry
After 11 months in business, a medical professional liability insurance company enlisted the assistance of Casey Communications to achieve targeted awareness among medical professionals and to educate them on the company's unique business approach. Additionally, Casey was asked to help overpower the untrue and/or misleading claims made by competitors about the client.

The challenge for Casey was to build understanding of a new company in an established industry. The firm immediately went to work on strategic direct marketing that would put the client in front of Missouri physicians. Initial efforts included developing a tradeshow booth and exhibiting at key conventions and professional gatherings; dispelling competitor claims via a targeted direct mail campaign; and sponsoring affinity events, such as golf tourneys and honorary gatherings. Casey also developed the firm's first capabilities brochure and successfully captured an in-depth feature story in a highly read St. Louis business publication.

To supplement marketing efforts, Casey brokered an exclusive advertising agreement with a statewide, physician-focused legal publication. The multi-faceted agreement provided the client with an ideal forum for branding.

The outcome: in its first 12 months of working with Casey Communications, the firm grew its member list from 1,500 to 2,112 physicians and increased written premiums by nearly $10 million.
